LOTUS ELAN CONCEPT
New Lotus Elan is a future car with all the excess. Lotus Elan will be the rival 911 Carrera and Carrera S. Here are the specs along with pictures of the 2012 Lotus Elan : Specifications 2014 Lotus Elan Using the Evora engine supercharged version of the 4.0-liter direct-injection. Using hybrid technology.
Alfa Romeo 4C GTA Concept
With only a teaser image to go on days before the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, everyone was thrilled to see Alfa Romeo unveil the 4C GTA Concept. According to Alfa Romeo, the 4C GTA is "a compact supercar" which represents the true essence of a sports car and is in line with the brand’s values: performance, Italian style, and technical excellence aimed at maximum driving pleasure in total safety."
The 4C GTA concept is inspired by models like the 8C Competizione and 8C Spider models, but takes their design a step forward. While the two models were focusing on obtaining more power, the 4C GTA Concept’s focus is on weight reduction thanks to the extensive use of carbon.
The concept is powered by a "4 cylinder" 1750 Turbo Petrol engine that delivers an impressive 200 HP that sprints the car to an impressive 155 mph.
LOTUS ESPRIT CONCEPT
Esprit Concept plunks its engine in the middle of a ship, though in place of honoring the turbocharged four-cylinders that motored the originals, the concept makes do with a meaty supercharged 5.0-liter V8. That V8 will look familiar to fans of the Lexus IS-F. The two-seater will produce 620 horsepower, accelerate from 0-60 in under 3.5 seconds and then blast onward to a 205-mile-per-hour top speed. The plan is to bring the production version to market in the spring of 2013 with a price tag around $175,000.
Power for the Lotus Esprit comes from a 5.0L V8 engine making 620-hp allowing for 0-60 mph to come in less than 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph. The tech specs also include a KERS, Formula 1-style brake energy regeneration system as an option. The system will absorb and discharge electrical energy to provide an extra acceleration boost through an electric motor. Weight comes in at around 3,190 pounds.
Lotus Evora S
Lotus first introduced the standard Evora back in 2009, marking the company's fourth model globally, and its third offered in North America. Now, just two years later Lotus has expanded the Evora lineup with the Evora S - a supercharged variant that is intended to appease one of the few complaints of the original car - insufficient power for an exotic sportscar.
The Evora S and its less powerful Evora stablemate are the only 2+2 sports cars on the market with a mid-engine configuration - further adding to the interesting intrigue created by the vehicle's unique styling.
The Evora is designed to compete with Porsche's Cayman on the performance side, but will be slightly more practical thanks to its available four-passenger capacity. Lotus says the Evora's cabin is the most comfortable it has produced to date, with easier ingress and egress than any of its other models. Leather seats from Recaro, a closing glove box, and storage bins and even cup holders are all be standard equipment.
Where the Evora and Evora S start to differ is in the power department, thanks to the addition of a supercharger to the 3.5-liter Toyota-sourced V6, the S variant increases its horsepower from 276 to 346. Torque is also upped to 295 lb-ft, making this the well-rounded GT car it should have been from the start, according to some critics.
The net result is a zero-to-60 time of 4.6 seconds, and the S also gains 10 additional miles per hour on its top speed of 172 mph.
As for cosmetic changes, the most drastic comes in the form of an all-new rear splitter which is significantly larger and more channeled than the found on the standard Evora. Looking closely at the splitter it is also clear that the Evora S swaps dual exhaust tips for a single, centered and large chrome exhaust tip.
The Evora S also comes with a sport pack as standard, centered around a 'sport' button which allows the driver to control throttle response and activate the exhaust by-pass valve. The sport button also raises the instantaneous rev limit and changes the dynamic stability control settings resulting in a total experience change.
The front wheels are 18 inches in diameter, surrounded by tires sized at 225/40-18, while the rears are 19s with 255/35-19 rubber. The forged aluminum wishbone suspension will use Bilstein shocks sitting inside Eibach springs to provide the Lotus-signature impressive handling capabilities.
The options list includes Bi-Xenon headlamps, three wheel choices (18 inch up front, 19 inch out back), power-folding exterior mirrors, a Tech Pack with a high-zoot Alpine Mobile Media System, Bluetooth, cruise control, rear parking sensors, an even higher-end Alpine/Lotus IMPRINT audio system, reverse camera, and full leather trim.

NISSAN FAIRLADY 350Z
The Nissan 350Z is a two seat sports car that was manufactured by Nissan from 2002–2009 and marks the fifth generation (codename: Z33) of Nissan's Z-car line. The 350Z entered production in late 2002 and was sold and marketed as a 2003 model. The first year there was only a coupe, as the roadster did not debut until the following year. Initially, the coupe came in base, Enthusiast, Performance, Touring and Track versions, while the roadster was limited to Enthusiast and Touring trim levels. The Track trim came with lightweight wheels and Brembo brakes, but its suspension tuning was the same as all other coupes. The Nissan 350Z has been succeeded by the 370Z for the 2009 model year.
After the Nissan 300ZX was withdrawn from the U.S. market in 1996, Nissan initially tried to keep the Z name alive by re-creating the 240Z the following year. The car was conceived by Nissan's North American design team in their free time, and the concept was introduced in a four state Road Show in July 1998 to various car media, dealers and employees. Yutaka Katayama, regarded as the "Father of the Z" unveiled the Z concept sketch to the public when he received a motor industry award. The design, representing a modern vision of the 240Z, did not please the original 240Z designer Yoshihiko Matsuo, who compared it to the Bluebird and Leopard.[1][2]
The 240Z concept was produced for the Detroit Motor Show for the following August and September. Nissan was unhappy with the first design as they felt the original 200 bhp (149 kW; 203 PS) 2.4 L engine known as the KA24DE that was going to be assigned made the car feel underpowered, they also felt the car was considered too "retro" or too "backward" resembling a futuristic 240Z; thus, a redesign was commissioned. During a press conference in February 2000, president Carlos Ghosn announced plans to produce the car as he felt the new model would help to assist the company's recovery.[1]
Z Concept was unveiled in Detroit Motor Show two years later, which was similar in body shape but with a new front end. The car then underwent a minor redesign and was eventually assigned the VQ35DE engine, hence becoming known as the 350Z.[1]
The 350Z is a front-mid engine rear-wheel-drive two door, two seat, sports car designed by Ajay Panchal of Nissan Design America(San Diego, California).[6]
The vehicle features the long-hood short-deck design common to the Z-Car family. Currently, external design highlights include: sloping fastback style roof line, unique brushed aluminium door handles, high waistline, and bulging fenders that are pushed out to the corners of the vehicle.
Interior cabin design is straight forward with brushed aluminium accents. The main gauge pod is mounted directly to the steering column allowing their movement to coincide with steering wheel adjustments. Additional gauges are mounted in a center triple gauge cluster (similar to the 240Z/260Z/280Z). The 350Z’s interior does not have a conventional glove box, instead it makes use of various storage compartments located either behind or between the 2 seats.
Released on August 20, 2002, the 350Z coupƩ was available in the U.S. in 5 trim packages: '350Z' (Base), 'Enthusiast', 'Performance', 'Touring', and 'Track' editions. In Europe only the 'Track' trim was available, although it was badged and marketed as '350Z'.
In 2004 Nissan introduced the 350Z Roadster featuring an electrically retractable soft-top roof. In the U.S. market the car was available in just 2 trim packages (Enthusiast and Touring), while in Europe, the same versions as the coupƩ were offered. Nissan added the Grand Touring (GT) trim to the Roadster trim packages for 2005.[citation needed]
In 2005 Nissan launched a 35th Anniversary edition, with a revised exterior and interior (see Special Editions below). 35th Anniversary 6-speed manual models and Track models were a mid-year introduction, and included the 300HP/260TQ Rev-up engine. Automatic transmission-equipped 35th Anniversary edition models continued with the original VQ35DE with 287HP/274TQ.
For the 2006 model year, the 350Z received a number of notable changes for its mid-cycle facelift. The 300HP/260TQ Rev-up engine that was introduced mid-year 2005 with 6-speed manual was offered for every trim now. Purchasing a 5-speed automatic meant you still got the VQ35DE with 287HP/274TQ. The headlights now sported larger bi-xenon projectors, the front bumper had been revised, the rear taillights now use LEDs, and interior changes brought differences to the center console, among other small things. Touring and Grand Touring models have radio-steering controls standard, MP3 CD compatibility, and Satellite Radio became an available option. For the 2007 model year, the 350Z was again moderately revised. The VQ35DE V6 was replaced with a new, but still 3.5 L VQ35HR V6. It produced 306 hp (228 kW) at 6800 rpm with 268 ft·lbf (363 N·m) at 4800 rpm. The hood was revised featuring a bulge reminiscent of the original 240Z. In the US, trims levels were narrowed down to 350Z (base), Enthusiast, Touring, and Grand Touring, while in Europe the same trim levels remained.

PAGANI HUAYRA
More that a decade after unveiling the Zonda, Pagani have finally taken the wraps off its successor. Dubbed the Huayra, it is named after a the legendary god of the wind 'Aymara Huayra Tata' in a legend passed on by the indigenous people of the Andes region of South America. While developing the new car, Pagani also built a new factory to allow for an increase in production.
For the design of the Zonda, Horacio Pagani was very much inspired by the shape of a woman's body, resulting in voluptuous, yet elegant lines. Inspiration for the Huayra was drawn from modern fighter jets. Accordingly the new Pagani has much sharper lines than the Zonda. Due to extensive use of underbody aerodynamics, there is no need for a permanent rear wing. Small winglets do rise from the rear deck at speed. Access to the lovely cockpit is through two large 'gullwing' doors.
During the 1980s, Horacio Pagani was one of the first men in Italy to apply carbon-fibre on production cars and he has ever since continued to perfect the application of the material. For the Huayra, a special titanium laced carbon-fibre was created, which was already used for the final Zondas. The advantage is that it adds additional strength to the carbon-fibre without a weight penalty. This 'carbo-titanium' is used for the all new Huayra monocoque.
Mounted amidships is a bespoke V12 engine developed by Mercedes-Benz' subsidiary AMG. Displacing just under six litres, it is fitted with two turbochargers, which boost the power to over 700 bhp. The torque generated is an even more impressive; in excess of 1000 Nm. This power is transferred to the rear wheels through a transversely mounted dual-clutch, sequential gearbox with seven forward ratios. Developed together with XTrac, the complete gearbox weighs just 96 kg.
Due to the extensive use of exotic materials, the complete Huayra weighs in at just 1350 kg, split 44:56 between the front and rear axles. No official figures have been released yet, but the new Pagani is set to accelerate from 0-60 mph (96 km/h) in just over 3 seconds and then onto a top speed of 230 mph (370 km/h). The Huayra achieves all this while complying with the latest emission and safety standards.
The Pagani Huayra will be unveiled to the public at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. Production should commence soon after. Even though Pagani aims at building a larger number of cars per year, the Huayra nevertheless has a reputed price-tag of 1 million euro.
HONDA CR-Z TS-1X MODULO
The British market is once again receiving a pretty cool car: a limited edition Honda Civic TI. There will only be 500 units built, with sales beginning in March 2011 at a price of £15,995 for the 1.4 i-VTEC and £16,995 for the 1.8 variant.
The new Civic TI is inspired by this season’s Honda Racing British Touring Car challenger and comes painted in Premium White Pearl contrasting with matte black wheels and ‘GP’ body kit finished in Crystal Black. The body kit includes: front spoiler, rear spoiler (finished in white), side skirt inserts and rear body skirts.
For the interior, the new Ti model is offering Pioneer Navigation Multimedia System, which offers full-scale sat nav, entertainment and communication with a 3D graphic touch screen. The navigation system includes a map database covering 44 countries, multiple sensors to ensure more accurate positioning, a traffic message channel receiver to avoid traffic jams and a hands free telephone system. It also plays CD, DVD, iPod, iPhone and USB devices, with on-screen controls.
The Honda Civic has been around for what seems like ages, from the first generation in 1973 to the eighth generation which began in 2006, and now Honda’s little star sedan is entering its ninth generation with a couple more variants for the 2012MY.
We first saw this new generation Civic in concept form at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show, and now the 2012 Honda Civic is getting an "HF" high fuel economy and a hybrid version for its lineup that will allow the Civic to become one of the most efficient models on the market, with an economy estimated at 40 mpg. The full lineup will includes these two new models, plus the sedan and coupe versions with conventional gasoline engines, two sporty "Si" performance versions, and a natural gas alternative-fuel variant.
"The Civic is the only model in the industry that can deliver on all fronts – fuel economy, sporty performance, smart packaging, alternative fuel and long-term value," said John Mendel, executive vice president of sales for American Honda Motor Co.,Inc. "For the ninth-generation Civic, we are emphasizing improved fuel economy across the board, from the hybrid sedan to the sporty Si model."
Of all the aesthetic advancements that are expected to be applied to automobiles in the future, a color-changing exterior ranks right up there with flying wheels, a talking engine, and a car that runs on pure H20. Suffice to say, it’s unlikely, if not improbable to see any of those things in the near future.
Having said that, artist Liviu Tudoran is undaunted, having thought up of a Honda concept that is not only made of light material, but also uses a photo-chromic technology that allows the car to change its color. Calling it the Honda Native, Tudoran’s concept is powered by an electric engine that gets its energy from high-voltage lithium-ion batteries. In terms of design, Tudoran creates another notable concept that has an interior made of light aluminum while taking advantage of the new OLED technology and using it as a display for the Native’s speedometer and touch screen controls.
We can’t honestly say that this is Tudoran’s best work, but for a designer of his skill, his best is still pretty impressive compared to other concept renderings we’ve seen in the past.
This Honda Native, if it does somehow come to life, looks like a formidable Beetle squasher.
The lights for the Detroit Auto Show haven’t even dimmed and already Honda is announcing its lineup of vehicles for the 2011 Tokyo Auto Salon starting Friday, January 14th to Sunday, January 16th, 2011. So far we gather that the line-up will include both automobiles and motorcycles, with the most impressive model being the TS-1X test study based on the CR-Z.
No details have been revealed on any of the models scheduled for Tokyo yet, but this image released by Honda reveals a matte black exterior paint with a revised front fascia, extended side skirts, and a massive rear spoiler for the TS-1X. Not bad for a test study, eh?
Also headed to Japan for the Tokyo Auto Show are accessorized production automobiles and motorcycles, along with a variety of specially designed vehicles. These vehicles include the Freed Spike caravan car, the Acty Truck and the Enepo generator special coloring editions, and the HSV-010 GT machine. On the motorcycle front, the most impressive appearance will be made by the RC212V, which competed in the MotoGP class races.

Gallant Abflug Nissan R35 GT-R
2010 marked a new beginning for Japanese tuning company Abflug. The longtime body kit manufacturer was previously known best for its Toyota, Nissan, and Mazda offerings. But during this past year, Abflug joined forces with European specialist J.N. Hephaiss (also a Japan-based tuning company). The union then gave birth to Gallant Abflug, a new brand that specialized in high-end cars such as the R35 Nissan GT-R, Porsche 911 GT3, and Ferrari F430.
It was an interesting twist that a Japanese tuning company, specializing in German and Italian cars, would have the only English language display at the 2011 Tokyo Auto Salon. Their booth was an interesting mix, putting Volkswagens and Nissans in the same area.
This R35 Nissan GT-R was the highlight of their stand, packing almost 630hp using a free-flowing exhaust and increased boost. Gallant Abflug claims that this car has run a best quarter-mile time of 10.8-seconds.
We can appreciate the big dollar monoblock big brake kit and 600hp but the body kit looks like a cross between a 370Z and a bad idea. The six-spoke wheels, which look like high-concept Italian wheels that nobody buys, are also misses in our book. Our suggestion is to stick with the power and keep it simpler than this.
Engine (VR38DETT): 630ps, 70.8kg/m – Racing strengthened turbo actuator, HKS EVC boost controller, GReddy intercooler piping kit, Power Craft exhaust, and Abflug ECU tune

It's Mercielago's enduring ferocity that Lamborghini offers with the release of their latest supercar. Named after the fighting bull, this trapezoid-shaped car lends styling cues from the previous Lamborghini's, with better performance and drivability than ever before.
The highlight of the car is two rear wings which seamlessly pop up for engine cooling. Not only does this increase the aesthetic value of the car while at a standstill, it functions as a dynamic system for cooling efficiency. Lamborghini calls this system the Variable Air-Flow Cooling System. VACS uses active intakes with adjustable aperture up to 20 degrees that suit the driving conditions.
The VACS is complemented by a second dynamic aero device. The rear spoiler changes up to 70 degrees at 220kph to offer stability at high speeds. When the spoiler reaches the its open position, the aerodynamic drag increases from 0.33 Cd to 0.36 Cd, a worthwhile trade off to ensure an aerodynamic equilibrium at all speeds.
The 6.2 liter V12 engine an evolution of the Diablo 6.0 power plant. The highlight of the new engine is two new variable systems. Both Variable Valve Timing & Variable-Geometry Intake systems aid in engine efficiency and a square power band.
A first for the marque, the Murcielago comes equipped with a 6-Speed Manual. The midship layout of the transmission is retained from previous Diablo & Countach design.
Also like the Diablo, the Murcielago features a permanent four-wheel drive with a center viscous coupling. This layout yields an active control system: excess torque on the primary-rear axle is automatically transferred to the front axle if needed. This maintains ideal traction at all times.
The Lamborghini is a superlative car. With mechanical structure that requires no gimmickry. The styling reflects this with a shape free of superfluous ornament or embellishment. Pure, simple lines are all that is offered.
The Murcielago is the ultimate expression of the Lamborghini marque: thoroughbred performance with dynamic features that add to the clean and elegant styling. This car is truly one that lives up to its namesake, Murcielago, the strongest fighting bull of all time.
